Valerie Ward Guzman

October 11, 1965 - April 9, 2023

 

Ms. Valerie Ward Guzman, 57, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, April 9, 2023.  Valerie has been a lifetime resident of Stamps Arkansas and was a proud graduate of Stamps High School, Home of the Yellowjackets and went to Red River Vocational Technical School.  She had spent her early years as a member of Greenville Baptist Church where she was a very active young person.  Upon graduation and after her time at Red River Vo-Tech, she went into the workforce right away and continued to work until she had done enough years to retire.  

Valerie was born to Mr. Wilson (Pete) Ward and Ms. Janie Mae Barber on October 11, 1965 at Lafayette County Hospital in Lewisville, Arkansas.  She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents and is survived by her special friend, Phillip Paskell.  Two sons, Berander Russ and Brendan (Dominique H.) Fort, Sr.  Her only daughter, Enochia (Aaron, Sr.) Frazier.  Two Brothers, Willis Ward and Wilson Ward, Jr.  Eight sisters, Patricia (Robert) McClellan, LaTonia (Brian) Brunt, Teresa Waller, Angela Weaver (Vance Shepherd), LaMecia Ward Pree, Gloria Ward, Wanda Ward and Joyce King.  Fourteen grandchildren, Travon Russ, Bryce Russ, A'Liyah Frazier, Ashelynn Morris, T.J. McClellan, Darius McClellan, Braiden Fort, LeVeya Fort, Brendan Fort, Jr, Ky'Mora Fort, Mi'Kel Arnold, Mi'Kialyn Franklin, Aaron Frazier, Jr., and Josiah Fort.  Other family members, Centwane Ward, Robert McClellan, Trichell Mcclellan, Brianna McClellan, Brandon Bradford, Brenton Bradford, Bryant Giles, Brandy Waller, De'Angela Weaver, B'Yunca Waller, Marcus Waller, Malcolm Duckworth, Maliek Duckworth, Jamal Ward, Jamauryon Pree, Oshiana Pree, Kristaryan Easter, Halee' Ward, Corin King and Robert Langston as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and former co-workers.  

Her service is to be held at Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel; 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas, Saturday April 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M where Rev. James Russ will serve as Officiant and Eulogist.  A public viewing will be held on Friday April 21, 2023 in Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.  Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery immediately following her service.  

Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of the health and well-being of those who are in front of, beside and behind you.
