Michael Wesley, Sr.
January 27, 1965 – February 24, 2024
Mr. Michael Wesley, Sr. 59, of Shreveport, Louisiana, formerly of Lafayette County, Arkansas passed away the evening of February 24, 2024, at Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana after a long battle with health problems.
Mr. Wesley was born January 27, 1965, to the late Mr. Midas (Jack) Wesley and the late Mrs. Carrie Jean Thomas-Wesley. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his children, Michael Wesley, Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Mrs. Jessica (Brandon) Booth of Bossier City, Louisiana. One brother, Mr. Derrick Wesley of Texarkana, Texas, one sister, Ms. Pinkie Wesley of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Three grandchildren, Emery Booth, Ethan Booth, and Miracle Wesley. A bonus child, Brandi (Bryce) Wesley, two nephews, Ryan Midas Christopher Wesley-Johnson and Kerry Wesley May both of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a host of cousins, friends, and fellow veterans.
Mr. Wesley was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a Petroleum Supply Specialist in Operation Desert Shield. He would go on to serve as a Combat Engineer at Fort Lewis Washington prior to his Honorable Discharge.
An inurnment graveside service with Military Honors will be held at the Buckner Community Cemetery, North College Street at Lafayette County Road 43, Buckner, Arkansas 71827 at 10:00 A.M..where Pastor Roderick L. Trotter will serve as Officiant and Eulogist.
Family visitation and repast will be held at St. James Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 2384 Highway 82 West, Lewisville, Arkansas. 71845.
