Mr. Melvin Turnentine
August 24, 1946 - May 30, 2023
Mr. Melvin Turentine, 76, of Fulton, Arkansas, passed away at the Springs of Texarkana in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 30, 2023, after a long battle with health issues. He had been a lifetime resident of the Fulton Community.
He was born to the late Mr. Richard Turentine and the late Ms. Inez Lafayette in Fulton, Arkansas, August 24, 1946. He is described to an entrepreneur and a self-made man who was a jack of all trades.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, one brother, Mr. Eddie Hale and a son, Mr. DeAndre Turentine and is survived by one son, Mr. Derrick Turentine. Two daughters, Ms. Jacqueline Turentine and Ms. Neshell Turentine. One brother, Mr. Henry (Debra) Hale of Fulton, Arkansas. Six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a lifetime special friend, Mr. William Turner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be Wednesday June 7, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in Charity Baptist Church 5210 Highway 67 West; Fulton, Arkansas 71838 where Pastor Jessie Henry will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. Service will be under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home of 415 East First Street Stamps, Arkansas 71860.
Public visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. just prior to his service at Charity Baptist Church.
Interment will be immediately following his service at Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery; 310 County Road 20; Lewisville, Arkansas 71845.
Masks are optional but highly recommended for the sake of health and well-being of those who will be around, beside, in front of and behind you. COVID is still an active virus so please use reasonable social distancing as well.
