Kathleen (Kat) Davis-Cummings
September 29, 1947 – November 11, 2022
Ms. Kathleen (Kat) Davis Cummings, 75, of Stamps, Arkansas was born to the late, Mr. Sidney Lee Davis, Sr. and the Late Mrs. Lillian Mack Davis-Gaines, September 29, 1947 in Texarkana, Arkansas. When she was able to work her last employment was as a home health worker.
Ms. Cummings attended the Lafayette County Training School (Ellis High) and devoted her life to Christ at an early age. She was a very active member of the Greenville Missionary Baptist Church in Stamps, Arkansas until her health put her in a position where she could no longer attend. Kat never had children of her own but devoted her life to always taking care of children in one way or another.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Mr. Sidney Davis, Sr and Mrs. Lillian Gaines, her husband, Mr. Calvin (Riley) Cummings, a sister, Mrs. Josie Mae Hester, and a brother, Mr. Curtis (Qubie) Davis, her bonus dad, Mr. George (Brother) Gaines and is survived by two brothers, Mr. Sidney Lee Davis, Jr of Compton, California and Mr. Robert Gaines (Connie) of Lewisville, Arkansas. Four sisters, Mrs. Helen Hamilton of Stamps, Arkansas, Mrs. Ruby (Kenneth) Hunley of Lawton, Oklahoma, Mrs. Emma Jene (Larry) Cooks of Stamps, Arkansas and Mrs. Doris Marie (Art) Shelton of Lawton Oklahoma. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday November 26, 2022 at Greenville Missionary Baptist Church 234 West First Street; Stamps, Arkansas 71860, under the direction of Hamilton-Davis Funeral 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas where Pastor, Niech Robinson will serve as Officiant and Eulogist. Interment will be immediately following the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps, Arkansas. Public visitation will be held on Friday November 25, 2022 at Hamilton - Davis Funeral Home Chapel from 11:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. Service will be available for viewing on the Hamilton-Davis Facebook page and on our website at https://www.hamiltondavisfuneralhome.com.
