Ms. Gwendolyn Marie Lockhart, 71, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Los Angeles, California and Detroit, Michigan made her transition from this life to her Heavenly Home on Friday, January 13th 2023 
Gwendolyn was born February 14th 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Mrs. Gertie Mae Hurman and the late Mr. Wallace Lockhart. She attended Wayne State University and received her Bachelors of Arts Degree, Furthering her career goals and dreams, she received her Masters of Art in Educational Administration from California Lutheran University. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Upon retirement as an Assistant Principal in several schools in the Los Angeles County School District, she decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia, which is where she lived until she gained her wings.  Ms. Gwen Lockhart leaves to cherish her memories, special family members, Mr. Roumell Eaton, Ms. Lela Davis and Ms. Zoe Davis.  A host of other relatives and friends and former co-workers.  Ms. Gwen was preceded in death by mother Mrs. Gertie Mae Lockhart, her father Mr. Wallace Lockhart, her sister Dorothy Davis, her grandmother Mrs. Lela Hurman and her grandfather Mr. Arthur Hurman.

Her service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 21, 2023, in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel, 415 East First Street; Stamps, Arkansas under the direction of the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Staff.  Interment will be immediately following the service at Mt. Zion Cemetery; Highway 53 South of Stamps in McKamie, Arkansas  

We ask that all who attend the service wear masks since COVID is on the rise again. This is not only for you but out of respect for those who are beside and around you.  Your cooperation is and will be greatly appreciated.
