Genora Sanders

Deacon Genora Sanders 71 a native of Willisville, Arkansas passed away peacefully early on the morning of December 8th, 2022, at Lifetouch Hospice in Eldorado, AR. Prior to his health failing he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and most of all serving as a Deacon and singing in the choir at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He was born December 7,1951 to the late Ollie Sanders & Marie McKinney Sanders.  He attended school at Oak Grove High School and served faithfully at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Willisville, Arkansas.

He worked at, Potlach, Prescott, the Camden Sawmill, the Highway Department, and finally Howmet (ALCOA) and retired after 30 years.

Genora married his loving wife Verda Maurice Gibson Sanders, on June 2, 1978, and remained married for 44 years and they raised four children. He was proceeded in death by his parents, one brother Henderson Sanders, and one sister Faye Nell Tolbert

He is survived by His Wife, three sons Kelvin Davis of Garland, TX, Gary Davis (Rhonda) of Douglasville, GA, Sidnora Sanders of Garland, TX and one daughter Tarsha Butler (Derrick) of Garland, TX, six brothers Harold (Bretha), Donnie (Cathy) both from Willisville, AR, Carold (Reba) of Oakcliff, TX, Raymond (Teresa) of Rosston, AR, Herschel (Jackie) of Blytheville, AR, Ronald (Brenda) of Waldo, AR, one sister Anita of Dallas, TX 18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Homegoing service for Deacon Sanders will be held at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home chapel 415 East First Street, Stamps, AR 71806 on Saturday December 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately following the service at the Harrison Chapel cemetery. There will be a public visitation at the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel 415 East First street Stamps, AR 71806 on Friday December 16, 2022, from 11:00 A.M until 3:30 P.M.
