Mrs. Francis Eason
May 5, 1932 – August 31, 2023
Mrs. Francis Eason, 91, of Lewisville, Arkansas passed away peacefully at Magnolia Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family. She was a lifetime resident of Lewisville, Arkansas, a loving wife, and an active member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She was born to the late Mr. Edward Carrol and the late Mrs. Francis Moses-Carroll, May 5, 1932, in Lewisville, Arkansas. She loved her husband Mr. Edward Eason, all her children, her grandchildren, and her siblings.
Mrs. Eason was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Mr. John Key, Mr. Jacob Key and Mr. Eddie Carroll. Three sisters, Ms. Ruby Carroll, Ms. Fannie Carroll and one son, Charles Butler. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Mr. Edward Eason, Sr. Four sons, Mr. Curtis Pierce of Dallas, Texas, Mr. James Harris of Hope, Arkansas, Mr. Eddie (Velma) Eason and Mr. Edward Eason, Jr. both of Lewisville, Arkansas. Six daughters, Ms. Katherine Eason-McGeough of Seattle Washington, Ms. Ruby Eason of Hope, Arkansas, Mrs. Annie Mae (Lee) Surman of Texarkana, Texas, Mrs. Aggie (Chris) Eason of Lewisville, Arkansas, Mrs. Brenda (Leslie) Eason-Phillips of Hope, Arkansas, and Ms. Berlinda Featherston of Lewisville, Arkansas. Twenty-five grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren, her last living sister Mrs. Edna Williams of Lewisville, Arkansas, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She wasn’t a busybody and when she wasn’t taking care of her husband, home, children, and grandchildren, she was either fishing, spending time in her garden or flowerbeds. She loved the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, the members, Pastor MacArthur Turner, and his wife.
Her service will be Saturday September 9, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Hamilton-Davis Funeral Home Chapel where Pastor MacArthur Turner will serve as the Officiant and Eulogist. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, in the Hamilton-Davis Chapel, 415 East First Street, Stamps, Arkansas and interment will be immediately following the service in Old Town Cemetery off Highway 29 North of Lewisville at Cemetery Road.
